Stuck on a Character
Bring story characters to life! Sketch characters and describe their traits on Post-it® Notes.
Grade Level: 2th grade
Subject: Reading & Writing
Estimated Time: 10-12 minutes
Materials Needed: Post-it® Notes, Post-it® Easel Pad, and white
recycled 25 in. x 30 in. pads
How it Works:

Step 1: |
Choose a book series with the same main character throughout. |
|
Step 2: |
After sharing the book, use the Post-it® Easel Pad, and draw a large depiction of the main character. |
|
Step 3: |
Students will use markers and Post-it® Notes to write traits/adjectives that are related to the character. |
|
Step 4: |
Add new traits/adjectives as you read new books from the series. |
Lift-the-Flap Review Quizzes
Create interactive review quizzes! Challenge students to write quiz questions on Post-it® Notes.
Grade Level: 4th grade
Subject: Math, Science, History, Language Arts
Estimated Time: 20 minutes
Materials Needed: 3 x 3 Post-it® Notes, paper, and pencils
How it Works:

Step 1: |
Ask students to gather any necessary review materials such as textbooks and class notes. |
|
Step 2: |
Give each student a sheet of plain 8 ½ x 11 paper and six 3 x 3 Post-it® Notes. Students will also need a pencil. |
|
Step 3: |
Challenge students to create relevant quiz questions on each of the six Post-it® Notes, then stick them on the sheet of paper. Have students write the correct answer to each review question under the Post-it® Note. |

Step 4: |
Once the quizzes are complete, invite students to swap quizzes with their friends. |
